Reignite the Fire
Being a Christ follower is hard, especially now in the times we are living in. However, the long lasting outcome of what we choose to do daily is rewarding in the end. God is coming and He is coming very soon. If we don't fully react to the hints He has been showing us recently, it can cost us our eternity in hell.
I'm not going to lie. It's been hard. And I've been wasting time. What about you?
As a mother, a wife, a leader and whatever category you put me in- It's tough. It's tough leading people when you, yourself need to just be led. The danger is if you don't recognize quick enough, the enemy will. He knows what triggers us back into depression, anger, un healthy memories and even the corrupt thoughts we've once had. The enemy will use these things to built guilt and condemnation inside of us. The bible teaches us that when we wake up and when we lie down, we MUST meditate on the Word of God. Why is that? Because one day without the Word of God, the communion and rest in His presence can radically effect our destiny or even our future generations to come. You see, I can tell when I haven't spent time with God. My character begins to weaken, my thoughts begin to overtake me, and I am suddenly overtaken by the pressure of this world. Why is that? If the Word of God says we can do all things through him who strengthens us- then why?
I believe it is because of our lack of knowledge of the Word of God.
That is how powerful His Word is. That is how powerful a moment in His presence is.
Many people walk away from the church because people, leaders, or pastors "drove them out",
but it's not because of people. See the bible says we do not fight against blood and flesh but against principalities. So why do we think that way? Well, because the devil is deceptive.
Perhaps we have been so blinded to what is happening in the spiritual world and we begin to fight each other and wonder why we somehow always end up defeated. The battle was never meant to be fought with our own weapons, but with the only weapon that has the power to calm the storm.
See, I'm tired of loosing. I'm tired of living with this anger, sadness, etc. You fill in your own word.
But this is exhausting.
I want to be that Proverbs 31 woman. I want to walk in Holiness. I want to be on fire for God. I want to pray and watch people come to Christ. I want to witness the sick become healed. And I am done with the devil. He has taken away too many beautiful years that the Lord has gifted me. And it's time to take what once (or twice) has been stolen. I am not going to waste any more time? Are you?
It's time, we Christians rise up and stop playing these games. Stop gossiping, stop the foul language, stop the affairs, the adultery, the lust, the hate, and the envy. Stop the deception, the sexual immorality, stop idolizing people and things, and stop giving into depression. Can I say something? DEPRESSION DOES NOT HAVE A HOLD OF YOU. You have the strength that is only found in Christ to remove any depression in you. Here's the secret: The Joy of the Lord is your strength. The Joy of the Lord. Nothing in this world is going to satisfy you the way He can. No husband, no addiction, no hobby, no person- nothing.
We must be be able to identify which voice we are listening to. Are we listening to the lies of the enemy or the Word of the living God? We have to say no to our flesh and yes to our spirit. Every day is a new day full of mercies, a second chance. It is our responsibility to take action and seek the Lord. Matthew 7:7 says, Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
I emphasized the word, KEEP because it is so important for us to understand that spending time with God isn't just temporary. It isn't when we need something or when we finally get the answer we prayed for. The moment we stop seeking, stop praying and stop talking to him is the moment that the door can close. Speaking to God on a daily basis is so crucial while living in this world. Ephesians 6:10-11 says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes."
It is impossible to fight in the spiritual warfare without armor. The enemy is literally WAITING for one moment of distraction, a moment of weakness when you were completely unaware on how he came in your front doorstep.
So I urge you, brother or sister... Don't get distracted. Open your spiritual eyes to see what is happening around you. Are you praying for your heart? Are you asking God to cleanse your mind? Are you praying for the souls that are lost or are you too busy judging them for the way they are living?
It's time to fight the battle. Let's pray more. Let's encourage more. Let's love more.
Life as a Christian can sometimes be difficult; but that doesn't mean we have to live it alone
-Nani Nicole
If you would like to give your like to Christ or reconcile (come back to the Father if you have been apart from Him). Pray this prayer with me-
Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask you to forgive me.
I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you.
I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
Amen.
